Did you maybe applied some own setup little blue stroke to those? - You can check with preview mode if these may have been setup by you accidentally, as then in preview mode they should still appear (if setup by yourself), otherwise they usually should disappear.

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.6 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.6 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.6 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2 apps still not installed and thus momentary not in use under MacOS

If those were truly Picture Frames, and they're empty, they would have large Xs from corner to corner.

So I'm not sure what they are.

it's so strange ... I can confirm that they were picture frames. i solved by copying and pasting others, from other master pages without this problem.
who knows which option was activated.

On way would be to inadvertently use the Boolean Add command on a Picture Frame which would turn it into a Rectangle.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.1
Affinity Designer 2.2.1 | Affinity Photo 2.2.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.2.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
