Affinity Designer v1 Ipad - Automatic Artistic Text Modifications

Recommended Posts

Question 1) How to make the distance bigger between the letters automatically?

Question 2) How to make the letters thinner automatically?

Question 3) How to make the letters more curvier automatically? (Or make It has curvy edges)

Question 4) What are other automatic modifications?

What I mean automatically means I select all the characters on an area then modify them at once.

Or do I have to modify them one by one by modifying the nodes by node tool etc.?

Automatically means that the modifications take place without any further action from you. The word that you’re looking for is simultaneously.

Select the text and increase the tracking value.

You could try playing around with stroke properties, but you’re likely to get better results by using a typeface that includes a Thin style.

Curvy (or more curvy) is very subjective! Can you post an example?

You can use the ‘Transform each’ feature to do things such as rotating multiple characters simultaneously.

I’m using Ipad version.

Q1) Where is tracking value?

Q2) Where is Typeface?

Q3) Curvy Examples - How can we do this?

Ex1

Ex 2 :

On the first “Like that” you see the edges of the letters are curvy. Not squares like in the second one. Even point of the letter “i” is a circle. (Though on the second one It is a square)

Find a font you like. Install it if it's not already installed. Use it.

Typeface is another term for Font Family; i.e. a collection of fonts which are variations (thin, regular, bold, heavy, italic, bold italic, etc) on the basic design.

If you don’t need to keep the text as editable text, you can ‘Convert to Curves’ and then select the curves with the Node Tool and change all of the nodes to ‘Smooth’ (so that any ‘Sharp’ nodes are no longer sharp).
