Loading PDFs into Affinity Designer not rendering objects

Hello, I recently purchased the Boox Tab Ultra C . Hand written notes are saved to any cloud provider you want as a PDF.  The PDF does not render correctly when opening in Affinity designer, but loads correctly in Chrome or other programs.

Here is how chrome renders it.

There seems to be something strange happening with this PDF file as it renders in Illustrator the same way it does in Affinity. I will log this with our developers to be investigated further however I can't say for certain that this is something we can fix.

@Callum: The Affinity applications don't handle comments or annotations made to PDF files, or (I think) form data that a user fills in. 

Perhaps this is just another example of that?

And apparently that also includes Stamps.
That is what those "characters" actually are.
