ms.fuentecilla Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 I have the nik collection plug ins, supposedly compatible with AP. They appear in the plug ins list but greyed out and inaccessible. The work perfectly well in DxO, so why not in AP please? Quote
walt.farrell Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 Are you sure that you have an RGB/8 or RGB/16 pixel layer selected? You can't use an Image layer, or a RAW layer, or an RGB/32 pixel layer, for example Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. ms.fuentecilla Posted June 1, 2023 Author Posted June 1, 2023 What a lot of restrictions. Easier to handle first in Photolab. But thank you all the same. Quote

ms.fuentecilla Posted June 4, 2023 Author Posted June 4, 2023 Back again: It seems to matter not a jot what format the image has. This is my screenshot when trying to use Nik in AP. It really is not very helpful. Quote
RichardMH Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 Right click on your Background layer and Rasterise. Then you have a pixel layer and it should work. I suspect that in Develop Persona you have one of the RAW Layers selected in Output. Maybe better to change it to Pixel Layer. (Its what @walt.farrell said) Quote
LesC Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 I wonder... 1) are you on Mac or on PC? I can only advise if you're on Mac. 2) what version of AP are you running v.1.x or v.2.x? 3) what version of Nik Collection are you running. There is an incompatibility between AP v.2.1 and the newest Nik6. There are other topics on this forum about this. I myself rolled back from 2.1 to 2.0.4. 4) finally, there's also a difference between AP bought from Apple's App Store and AP bought directly from Serif. I learnt it the hard way, and now only buy from Serif. Quote CANON cameras (7D, G9), lenses ranging from 10 to 400mm, and Speedlite 580EX II - iMac (24", M1, 2021) running Ventura MacOS 13.4.1(c)
