Perrorist Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 I've not had this issue before. I try to create a rectangle with stroke and fill set in contrasting colours. Nothing appears. Am I overlooking something obvious? (This also applies to text after I've saved the file.) Quote
Dan C Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 Hi @Perrorist, Sorry to hear you're having trouble! Can you please provide a full screenshot of your Affinity document including the Layers Studio, or alternatively attach a copy of your .afphoto file here which shows the issue with your rectangle and text? In regards to the text in the file, are you seeing the text as expected when creating the text object and saving the file, but when you then close and reopen the file, the text is no longer shown? The more information you can provide here, the easier it will be to assist Quote
Perrorist Posted May 23, 2023 Author Posted May 23, 2023 Thanks for the reply. I've attached the .afphoto file. The answer to your second question is that the rectangles and text were showing before saving but didn't reappear when reloaded. Cookie's room.afphoto Quote

Ron P. Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 It seems you've applied a White Fill to the Pixel layer, located at the top of your layer stack. Did you want that layer to have a color fill? If so you need to move it to the bottom of the layer stack so the other layers can be seen. I've reconstructed your file, however did not fill the top Pixel layer. I saved the file, closed and opened it. I do not get the same as your file, ie; the color filled pixel layer. EDIT: Missed it by this much... Old Bruce beat me to it. Perrorist Posted May 23, 2023 Author Posted May 23, 2023 It's so obvious that I can't believe I missed that. I don't know where the white fill came from. Thanks, both of you. Quote
