joe_l Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 1. Drag a RAW file (CR2 in my case) into an APu document. 2. Select it and hit the "Develop Image" button. 3. Look at the "Lens" panel and you will see three yellow triangles complaining about insufficient metadata. This bug won't happen, when you place the image via Menu or tool. plennon Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 Hi Joe, I thought I would see if I could duplicate this with my DNG images. Where/what is the "Lens" panel? I don't know where to look. Paul Quote

I can confirm what you're seeing. This is somewhat inconsistent with what is seen when you apply say the Remove Lens Vignette. The image brightens around the edges to remove any vignette, but that does not mean it's applying it correctly. Doing the same in AP does not get the 3 warning triangles, just one. joe_l 1 Quote Affinity Photo 2.5..; Affinity Designer 2.5..; Affinity Publisher 2.5..; Affinity2 Beta versions. joe_l Posted May 23, 2023 Author Posted May 23, 2023 Maybe it is just me? When several embedded RAWs are placed in the APu document, you select one and click Develop Image there is no selection in the "Develop Persona" of APu. Means, you don't see which image was meant for editing. Quote ---------- Windows 10 / 11, Complete Suite Retail and Beta
Staff Lee D Posted May 23, 2023 Staff Posted May 23, 2023 @joe_lThanks for the report, I've reproduced the issue and logged it with the developers to look into. joe_l 1 Quote
plennon Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 Thank you Joe. I tried to reproduce using a DNG image and all looks good joe_l 1 Quote
joe_l Posted May 24, 2023 Author Posted May 24, 2023 Looks like the Develop Image function of APu (or Photo Persona) simply forgets / ignores what is in the image metadata, no matter how the RAW file is placed. Metadata is present, when you open the RAW file in AP Quote ---------- Windows 10 / 11, Complete Suite Retail and Beta
