colour setting reset when app closed

Hi Guys

Every time I close Affinity Photo Beta 1769 the colour settings are reset to the defaults as follows:

colour RGB Profile = reset to sRGB IEC 61966 - 2.1

32 bit RGB Profile  = reset to sRGB IEC 61966 - 2.1 (linear)

I work in Pro RGB for both Profiles, this is new issue. All other profiles do not change once selected.

What OS are you using, and if you're on Windows, are you using the standard MSIX-based installer or the alternate EXE/MSI-based installer?

I am using a MAC Pro running macOS Monterey 12.3.1. Sorry I sent the post before remembering to add the computer and OS specifics. I removed the 1769 and installed a previous version of the bet and the problem disappeared, so this issue is specific to the 1769 beta on Mac

Hi Again

Just installed 1781 update same problem. Every time AP is opened colour profiles revert to default settings which means I have to reselect every time I open the app. Time wasting and frustrating.

I wish the developers could leave the working things working!!

I've not been able to replicate this at all - was it working as expected before build 1769 ?

What OS version did you test with?

I was using 12.3.1 macOS

I had to go back to 2.1.0.(1732) since I didn't save previous update files.

I was using the Beta update just before 1779

Also while you're looking the tool bar also moves position each time the App is opened and still doesn't align at top of other windows

Which file stores this info and is it in the group containers folder or the application support folder so I can try and fix this my self?

should be stored in a plist file - i would expect them all to fail rather than just 2. Let us know if the file is being updated or not. Also check the console app for crashes that may be ocurring on shutdown

I'm seeing the same problem on Windows, Paul, and mentioned that in their other post in the beta other bugs forum (which Jon P) is handling.

I don't know if it was working previously in the beta, as I usually use the default values.

Hi Paul

I did further investigation and the only colour profile that is not retained with app closure is Pro RGB colour. When I select Romm or Classic RGB these settings are remembered.

When I first installed the generic 1781 these colour spaces didn't exist and I complained about this when the first beta was released at which time Walt indicated I shouldn't be using this beta but rather the latest release version, which I did.

Don't know why when it was working with 1743 beta version it would suddenly act up with the last two updates 1779 & 1781? since when I install 1732 everything works as expected?

Any way for now I will use the Romm as it is the same as Pro RGB but I would like to know why this is happening. Can you send me a link to download 1743 so I can try it again, to conform it worked in this version too?
