Affinity Photo non-destructive edits

Recommended Posts

Hello there

I'm still fairly new to Affinity Photo and have looked at one or two Youtube tutorials to check out how I may carry out non-destructive editing of my Raw files.  It seems that following the opening of a Raw file, I should go to the Output window in the top left of the menu rail and select Raw Layer Embedded  - rather than the default pixel layer setting .  See attached image).

However, when I open a Raw file on my Mac, I see no Output box, only details of the size of the image and the lens used.  I've tried using Fuji, Nikon and Canon Raw files.  See attached image.

I'm using Affinity 1.10.6 on Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1

I'd appreciate any thoughts / advice as to why I'm not able to access this.

Many thanks

Rod

This feature is available for the new upgrade Photo 2. You'll need to decide whether or not you want to purchase the new version, does it have enough new features that you'll use and the basic "Can I afford the price?"

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

To help you decide, there’s a 30-day free trial:
