Busenitz Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 When I add two shapes, it is possible with a right-click / geometry / add, OR layer menu / geometry / add, OR the add icon. If I want to do it nondestructively, I only have the add icon for an option. If I hold down the Alt and right-click, I get nothing. If I hold down the Alt and use layer menu / geometry / add, then I get the normal add function. I'm on the latest MAS version.
Gear maker Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Busenitz, to non-destructive boolean you need to Option/Alt left click on the proper icon on the main toolbar. Of course the layers have to be selected and in the proper order. iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) with macOS Sierra
Busenitz Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Just to clarify, it is by design that you can't alt + right-click/geometry/add for non-destructive?
A_B_C Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 That’s correct … you will have to Option + click the buttons on the toolbar or select Layers > Create Compound. Using the latter option, you will have to adjust the compound type in the layers list afterwards … :)
Busenitz Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 ok. Thanks. I'm just used to using the right-click so it seemed awkward. Thanks so much for the response!! A_B_C 1
