Hello,
I usually work in Dark UI Mode, but have changed the beta version to Light Mode, so it would differ from retail version.
I have noticed that some panels have different backgroud colour than I (or it would be) expected regarding the Dark UI Mode.
I am posting screenshots to describe my observations. Some notes written are known issues, I apologize if they were
unnecessary to stress.
Kind regards,
Roman

While I agree with you - the white is too jarring, there's a reason for this. The white areas are just the area below the panel which is always shown in white in light mode. The grey areas in Preflight, Layers, History, Index, Anchors, etc are actually the background of scrolling lists that expand to fill all the space in the panel area, so no white is visible.

There are exceptions. The Text Styles panel is a scrolling list just like Layers and Anchors but it has a black background. I don't know why this is but I suspect it might be more customized because it can show text formatting. The Fields panel has a grey background even though there is no more panel below the last item. Perhaps it was built differently or there's a reason that isn't apparent.

But I agree, the white is jarring and I also find the solid black jarring.  I keep the version I use the most in dark mode and the alternate version in light mode.
