Say I want to copy or cut an object and paste it inside another object.

Everything works the way it should except the menu does not disappear (the way it does when I use Paste or Paste Style) and I have to close it manually.

Hi Welcome to the forums !

V1 and the current Beta all do this as well, to me I think it is a feature rather than a defect but hopefully QA will identify which.

Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 1.10 and 2.5 on macOS 15.3 Beta Sequoia on M1 Mac Mini 16GB 1TB
Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 1.10 and 2.5 on  Windows 10 Pro.  (revived !)
Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 2.5 on M1 iPad Pro 11” on iPadOS beta 18.3

Yeah, I can’t see any advantages of such feature. So I really hope it can be either explained or fixed

In V2 beta the paste inside problem continues, the figure disappears even if I convert it to curves later, I must do it previously and this did not happen in V1
