Hello !

I'm sorry if the topic has been treated already but I can't convert a stroke, drawn with the pen of brush tool, into curves... The item in the menu (convert to curves) is gray and I can't find the function elsewhere... It's a functionality that worked in AD1. Can you help me please ? :D It's been hours and I don't find a solution to preserve. the effect during the export process... I am loosing it. 😅stroke2.png.eb21b7e6a7dac95c88a37441ff5a3d62.pngmenu.png.ab7cc4095e7bca6770e503eef29fcb76.png

Here are some screenshots (yes, french version!) I have tried "vectorize the stroke" but since it's already vector, nothing happens of course..

Thank you !

Hi @Aurelie and welcome to the forums...

Try Expand Stroke instead...

Hi @Aurelie, does expand stroke not give you what you need, what are you trying to achieve with the strokes themselves once converted to curves?

‘Vectoriser le contour’ works as expected for me in AD2 on iPad, but the text in the French menus is tiny!

I want  to transform my path into a shape. The button «vectoriser le contour » doesn’t work on IPad and Windows. No change when I do press the button, still a path.

Edit : I have succeeded on Affinity Designer 1.

Okay I have found the problem. Not every sort of brush and effect can be transformed into a shape… sadly.
I had selected paintbrush and etching, that’s why. With a classical shape it works. Thank you for your time !

You need to have a Non Brush* Stroke.

You can use the Pens Brushes that are the top two in the Pens category of the Brushes Panel.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
