Photo 2.1.0.1709 crashes from developer module when using overlay brush

Recommended Posts

Trying to use the overlay in developer module with RAW (NEF) files. Brush seems to work ok to isolate the desired area, but then when I try to switch back to the basic tab to change exposure etc., the program crashes. Able to repeat this several times - Win 11Pro 2H22 Dell Alienware M15 Intel i7 12thgen Nvidia Gforce RTX3060

I am not even able to use the Overlay Paint Brush on my Win 10 machine with .1709. I open a NEF file, and select the tool, and try to paint with it. Nothing happens, and a few seconds later the application crashes.

Unfortunately, I never seem to get crash reports on this machine, and don't get any for this failure either.

Edit: The Event Viewer shows this for this failure:

I'll join this group. Just after hitting the brush overlay button, crash.

Crash here, too, when using overlays in Develop Persona, no matter whether OpenCL is on or off.

No crash report is created.
