Hello!

In most of my projects, I have several artboards in which I use the Export Persona to save and export these as separate files.

In the open dialog box, as soon as I click on the drop-down to show the most recent list of open folders or try to access another folder, I get the busy beachball, and then a message prompting me to Force Quit the application.

This occurs 1 out 3 times. Sometimes this process happens twice in a row, until the third time it works completely fine.

I have a MacBook Pro M1 Pro with 16GB using V2 of Affinity Designer. I cannot seem to replicate this as it's random, but it occurs so much, I thought I would report it.

Hi All,

We currently have a logged known issue that causes this when you have folders synced to your drive from a Cloud service such as iCloud or OneDrive etc. Please could you confirm if this is the case? This is something are developers are actively investigating and we hope to have solved soon.

Thanks
C

Hi, I have the same issue and I'm not the only one. There is an entire thread on this forum about it :

I don't have any folders synced to the cloud.

This bug was already occuring in V1 and still occurs in V2.

I've been plagued all week by this bug so did a bit of digging in Activity Monitor.

The screenshot shows that it has caused over 50 recent hangs and while I'm not particularly knowledgeable about software development, I do think that nearly 400GB of VM used for a open and save panel is a bit excessive!!!

I'm using both Dropbox and iCloud - MacOS Ventura 13.2.1
