Affinity Photo 2.04 - Layers with wrong arrangement "move to front" - "move to back"

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Today I ran into the following problem: the bottom layer is the top layer and vice versa - when trying to move the top layer forward with the "move to front" command, it moves backwards - and vice versa. Does anyone have an explanation for this (the file as affinity file attached)

(Latest Affinity Phot version on latest windows version)

It might be due to the underlayed used datastructure here which holds internally the layer elements. If it is a circular linear list the elements can be move that way around at either end.

It's because of the Blend Ranges, which for both layers are set this way:

IMO, Serif should add an icon to the layer when Blend Options adjustments are not set to the default values – like they do with Layer Effects.  Currently there's no indication to the user at all.

I agree. And that has been requested, probably multiple times.
