Reckonyx Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 Hello, How can i create the following line with the pen tool in Photo 2 _.._.._.._? So it is : Line dot dot Greetings Quote
R.I.P. Affinity 26.03.2024 Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 Since there are only 4 bars to put numbers in, it seems you can't do that, with a stroke menu. But You can create a .png brush. Quote Ain’t nobody acquiring us 😎
GarryP Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) Welcome to the forums @Reckonyx You can get what you want with two curves – see attached image with Dash settings for Stroke Panel (and V2 document). (This method needs some forward planning to get the right sizes/spacing/phase so everything lines up nicely.) I don’t know of a way to get the same thing with only one curve in Photo, expect for maybe a brush as mentioned above. Edit: You can combine two different strokes in a single curve via the Appearance Panel, as mentioned in a later post by RM f/g, but that’s only available in Designer. double-dot-dash.afdesign Edited February 1, 2023 by GarryP Added note. RM f/g Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Clever! We can combine both lines in the Appearance Panel. R.I.P. Affinity 26.03.2024 and GarryP 2 Quote Macbook Pro mid 2015, 16 GB, double barrel: MacOS Mojave + Affinity 1 (+ Adobe’s CS6)/ MacOS Monterey + Affinity 2
GarryP Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 I keep forgetting about the Appearance Panel but that’s only available in Designer, not Photo which the OP asked about. It's well worth mentioning though so I’ve edited my earlier post to point out this possibility for people with Designer. Quote
Reckonyx Posted February 1, 2023 Author Posted February 1, 2023 Thank you all for the reply to my problem. Is there a way suggest things like this to the developers? The problem with the brush is that i lose a lot of control. Greetings. Quote

If you have Designer, you can create a "vector" brush. Something like this: Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

Mb, you can suggest this to have 6-8 bars instead of 4, but as RM f/g mentioned before, there is an Appearance Window in Designer, so You can make how many You want. Except, its an ass pain to count those numbers, I believe. But with 2 strokes its not that hard I guess. Quote Ain’t nobody acquiring us 😎
