There are seemingly 2 issues.

1. Add-ons that require downloading through browser are not shown unless "Show incompatible packs" are selected. This is a regression since v1, where one didn't have to select this option to see them.

2. Some add-ons are not shown at all, e.g:
- Publication Typefaces Collection
- Wallington Pro – Typeface
It seems it's the case also for v1.

I uploaded screenshots from Photo v1 and v2 showing 1st issue. It's impossible to show 2nd one.

Issue applies to all Affinity apps, not only Photo.

So how does this help

But then it's not the same problem. This font package has never been downloadable via the account area in the programs.

Are the fonts displayed in other programs or just not in the font selection palette in the program?

I am having the same issue - Affinity build 2.5.5.2636 - not recognising the Wallington Pro font files!

If you have manually downloaded the font, as you have to with that package, then you have to manually install it. You can do that using functions of your OS, or using your separate font manager app if you have one installed.

The bug mentioned here was about AFFONT files, which can be downloaded and installed automatically, but that automatic function wasn't working.

The fonts are not displayed anywhere.

As I said above, they are standard font files, which you must install manually.

Further to that, this is what the Installation Guide provided with that font package in the Affinity Store says:

Quote

Fonts are usually supplied in OpenType, TrueType or Affinity Font format.

Affinity Fonts are installed and managed directly in Affinity 2.0.4 or later. Other font formats are installed and managed using software included with your operating system or from a third party.

Thanks for your help. The issue was not related to installation but to the properties of the files when downloaded and Windows 11 restricting their use as they had been sourced from 'another computer' i.e. downloaded. On the property box was a black tick box to allow their use when it was ticked. Changing this, on all of the downloaded files, allowed the fonts to appear and be used.

I have never experienced that.

I wonder what Windows 11 setting (or anti-virus/anti-malware app setting) you have enabled that I don't.

What message were you getting when you tried to install them?

The fonts install without any messages - the files opened with Windows Font Viewer installed when 'install' was clicked.

I am using Bitdefender Antivirus and iObit Malware Fighter- if that helps.

I meant before you adjusted the file properties. You said Windows was restricting their use. That indicates you had tried,  and presumably gotten some message saying you couldn't use them. What gave you the message, and what was the message?

No messages at all just good luck. I was curious as to why the files seemed to install but not show so I went to the files to look at their properties and found that message.

Just good luck.
