V2.0.3 shape builder zoom rendering issue

Recommended Posts

When using zoom levels above 200%, the rendering gets strange while the shape builder tools is active.

Activate "Pixel view" mode (not retina).

below 200%

Can't reproduce on MacBook Pro mid-2012, MacOS Catalina.

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

Maybe related to M1 hardware acceleration. You need to the the layer called „magenta“ selected.

I just tested a simple Designer file with one imported stock image (bitmap).

Designer always renders wrong when using "pixel view" mode with Zoom Level 201-399%.

The layers get moved and transformed into lower - right direction.

Workaround is to use "Retina" view mode - but this shows misleading resolution (double of what you get by export), especially for sharpen/noise effects including color noise.

Hi @NotMyFault,

Thanks for your report and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. We are exceptionally busy following the release of V2 and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding here.

I can confirm this issue was already logged for Windows, however I've been able to replicate this on macOS with Retina Rendering set to High Quality, even on an Intel based mac.

Therefore I will be updating the development log with this information and 'bumping' it with your thread now :)

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
