NotMyFault Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 When using zoom levels above 200%, the rendering gets strange while the shape builder tools is active. Activate "Pixel view" mode (not retina). below 200% above 200% Artboard not clipping afdjustment.afdesign Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. Corgi Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Ah, yes, when you zoom past 200% it automatically activates Picasso Mode™. Very nice feature! SillyWalk and NotMyFault 1 1 Quote
loukash Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Can't reproduce on MacBook Pro mid-2012, MacOS Catalina. NotMyFault Posted January 21, 2023 Author Posted January 21, 2023 Maybe related to M1 hardware acceleration. You need to the the layer called „magenta“ selected. NotMyFault Posted January 22, 2023 Author Posted January 22, 2023 I just tested a simple Designer file with one imported stock image (bitmap). Designer always renders wrong when using "pixel view" mode with Zoom Level 201-399%. The layers get moved and transformed into lower - right direction. Workaround is to use "Retina" view mode - but this shows misleading resolution (double of what you get by export), especially for sharpen/noise effects including color noise. Dan C Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 Hi @NotMyFault, Thanks for your report and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. We are exceptionally busy following the release of V2 and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding here. I can confirm this issue was already logged for Windows, however I've been able to replicate this on macOS with Retina Rendering set to High Quality, even on an Intel based mac. Therefore I will be updating the development log with this information and 'bumping' it with your thread now deepblue and NotMyFault 2 Quote
NotMyFault Posted October 13, 2024 Author Posted October 13, 2024 Bump. Almost 2 years and Designer still unable to render correctly in Pixel mode as of V2.5.5 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. loukash Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 @Dan C is "(Ex) Staff"? That's quite a loss.
