SVG Rendering error?

Hi:

The file in the link appears different in Affinity Designer 1 & 2 compared with other applications including web browsers, other image editors, etc. Possibly, there are formatting idiosyncrasies at play, but the end-result is not what other application render.  Download the file and take a look:

I have a similar problem ...

This SVG should have a green filled background:

https://github.com/simonpoole/beautified-JOSM-preset/blob/master/icons/svg-signs/javascript.svg

When I open it in Affinity Designer v1.10.6 or v2.0.3, it has a black background.

I checked it in Adobe Illustrator CS6 (with mac OS 10.14.6) – it renders the SVGs correctly in green ...

The broken SVG functionality for so long is bad. I suggest posting the problem on their app store reviews with a less than stellar rating. That seems to get at least somebody's attention. Any new user who would stumble across this bug would immediately give Affinity a negative/one-star rating.

Hi @NM_ Sorry for the delay.

I've added this report to another one already with the developers to look into further.

Any news? This bug affects the macOS versions too. It is a showstopper, goes back as far as version 1 series, and does not appear to be mentioned in the list of bug fixes for version 2.1.0.

Thanks.
