[SOLVED. It wasn't a bug ]Information panel showing incorrect numbers in the width and height of an element being scaled

Recommended Posts

Version used: Photo 2.0.3 release (not beta). It might happen with other Affinity apps.

Windows 10 Pro 22H2, all up to date.

Hardware acceleration (Open CL) ON (everything works well).

Problem:

- While you are scaling a pixels layer or pixels selection by dragging a corner of the box, the width and height in the info panel are displayed incorrectly, during  the act. Yet, the numbers shows correctly on canvas, in the tool tip that goes near the cursor.

- Also while scaling a shape (a heart, rectangle, etc). But not in the first go as you create it, as then it does it right. It happens when once created, you re-scale it by dragging one corner. Same than with any pixel layer.

- I can replicate it with any new file.

I believe the info panel shows the change to the width and height when you drag an object not the actual width & height of the object

So, if you were to increase the width of a 100mm object to 120mm, the info panel will show 20mm for the W value

If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Oh...I see..Sorry, I'm used for this to other apps' (PS, etc) behavior. Also confused as the tooltip on canvas was showing the usual thing.

I will leave the thread here "alive" for one day or two, in case something is not as expected. Then I'll hide or delete it.
