I'm trying to size images while exporting, it should be a no-brainier to get the image sized proportional, however when I enter one dimension the other dimension remains the same. There should be a check box "size proportionally," unless I'm missing something?

You can 1.click the padlock (close it)

2.enter the pixel number in the one box

3.click enter, and the size will change proportionally.

If you don’t know what was changed: start the app with pressed CTRL …

Or if you only want to change this: export once with your loved prefs.

No checkbox but the app remembers the last proportional lock setting used -- I think separately for each export format (JPEG, TIFF, etc.) -- so once you export one file with your preferred ("loved") lock/unlock setting, you won't have to keep changing it the next time you do an export.

I'll give it a try, seems very quirky though and I do change sizes almost all the time, when processing for clients. Maybe in future release of AP, it is something they can look into.

Sorry, we are not the developers (only users) and have not the time to explain everything in detail, which is not clear in the AFFINITY DESIGNER HELP. Again sorry, but two hints:

· It is possible to create export presets: the button "More” > Manage Presets > Create preset…

· Have a look into the Export Persona > Slice Tool > Export Options TAB

Would be great if you could make a new topic and tell the developers your problems with the usability of AD and the help system.

As long as you leave the lock closed, changing sizes on exports will continue to be done proportionally. Because of that feature, there is no real need for a checkbox. With the lock closed, just change either the width & or the height & the other value will change proportionally when you click the "Export" button or do anything else that updates the export settings before clicking it.
