@davegraphics

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :)

We are not planning on adding any languages to version 2, sorry.

Any news about Czech or Slovak language in affinity serif?

Hi @Ioannes, welcome to the Affinity Forums!

Neither this thread nor your added post makes clear where the language is wanted:

• as application interface language ?
• as dictionary for text spelling and hyphenation ?

In case of the latter you may add languages with the according dictionary files:

macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1

I would add Help, which in my opinion is more important for understanding applications and their functions than a few words in the UI (personally, I would never switch it to Czech). For that reason, I use the online version of Help, which I then easily translate in Translator and its extension for Chrome.

Except for some minor mistakes during translation, the translated text from Help is usable.

Does this work sufficiently to understand the English terms in the UI … especially when the Help explains options without an icon / button / screenshot but a menu command or panel text label only … without specifying the option's location in the UI? (… for instance, where/how to set a text language ?)

If the Translator extension is used, there is an option to quickly switch to the original text in the menu.

So by gradually switching translation/original, relevance between UIs and text in Help can be easily found.

It would certainly be appropriate if the Help was created with regard to the aforementioned possibility of translation - i.e. as many easily identifiable examples and images from the application as possible. Plain text is more difficult to assign to an app's UI.

Vy ste hovorca? Odpoveď je rok stará, tak sa pýtam. A jasne, že som videl odpoveď. Normálne som si ju prečítal po anglicky bez prekladača.

Ak vás to vyrušuje, nemusíte citat moje otázky.

Odpověď je sice rok stará, ale vzhledem k informaci "to version 2" je evidentně stále platná.

Jinak zkusím znovu zopakovat - pouze jsem vás upozorňoval na informaci, kterou jste podle mého názoru přehlédl. Pokud jste jí ale nepřehlédl a cíleně se znovu ptáte na to co již bylo řečeno, pak tento příspěvek nečtěte, aby vás nevyrušoval
