Christi Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Hi I recently bought Affinity designer version 2. In the setup, some of my previously bought brush packs were installed twice. As I was busy deleting the doubles, Designer kept hanging for long periods of time each time after selecting to delete the pack. Sometimes it would delete it, other times Designer would hang, and I would have to force stop it, and sometimes the program would crash. Below I attached a video of me trying to open the Daub Bristles brush pack, and Designer crashing. This has happened multiple times. I use Windows 10. 20221217_133707.mp4 Kind regards. Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Christi. First, please make sure you wait long enough before force-stopping the app. They can appear to be hung (non-responsive) for a long time, perhaps several minutes, when updating brushes if you have a lot of them installed. I would recommend waiting at least 5 minutes, and confirming that there's no activity by looking at Task Manager to make sure there is no activity at all (network, graphics, CPU, or disk) going on. Next, there is a problem in the programs when using the DAUB Bristles. As a workaround, you can try turning off Show As List in the Brushes panel options (hamburger menu). Just to confirm, the above is logged with our developers and I have 'bumped' this report with your thread now. Thanks for your report @Christi Display 1 Quote
