garrettm30
Here’s a weird one and hard to explain. Below I have a video demonstration if you prefer. Here is a text explanation: Normally, when copying a paragraph that has automatic numbering (i.e., a “Bullets and Numberings” setting), when the text is pasted into an external program (ex: TextEdit), the number gets prepended as part of the text. But when: The text is in a multicolumn text frame, With “Balance text in columns” turned on, You copy from any column but the last in the frame When you paste into another program, … the number that gets pasted is wrong. It seems to always be the next number (or letter) after the last item in the list. Recipe: Open the attached sample document. Copy the “Line 3” paragraph in Column 1. Paste into TextEdit. What gets pasted is “16. Line 3" Columns 3, 6, and 9 (that is, the last column in each frame) work as expected, but every other numbered item will be numbered as 16 in this document. If you turn off “Balance text in columns,” copying and pasting from all columns works as expected. Numbered List Copy Problem.mp4 I have tested in Publisher 1.10.6, 2.0 and beta 2.0.3.1674, all with the same results. I have macOS Ventura 13.0.1 on a 2019 5K iMac. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
