I used “False Perspective“ warping to map a few vector elements to a photo of a building. While the “Live Perspective“ Filter in the Photo persona worked, the Warp option from the Designer persona does only partially: On screen everything looks nice and when I export to, say, a TIF or PNG image, the warped elements look as intended. It’s just PDFs that have problems, regardless of the PDF version and preset.

Please see attached ZIP Publisher package including also a faulty PDF.

Hi Matthias, try duplicating the warped text group, hiding one copy for future editing, and then converting the visible copy to curves before exporting. There's a known bug with exporting and printing some warped vectors, especially text. Hopefully this will be fixed in an update soon.

Cheers

Thanks MikeTO. In my example the text elements ARE converted to curves. The PDF export bug seems affects to affect vector curves as well.

I believe Mike's referring to converting the two Warp Group Layer(s) to curves, this will convert them to normal groups but the child layers now take on the warped perspective. You can then re-apply the Blend Mode and Opacity values to the two Group layers and export to PDF, this should then prevent the issue from happening on the final PDF file, I've attached your file below (With History) where i've already done this for reference along with the PDF result.

The issue "Warp Group exported to PDF results in clipped objects" (REF: AFD-6306) has now been fixed by the developers.
This fix is included in build 2.1.0.1709 (or later) which is already available as a customer beta and will be included in the next release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.

If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please make a new thread referencing this one.

Hi, this does seem to be fixed mostly in the beta, but I still get the issue with some objects. How can I submit my file with an example? FWIW it seems to be related to gradient fills, but not all gradient fills. System is Win 10 Pro, App is Designer.

If you're still able to replicate this issue on certain files whilst using the latest beta build, I would recommend creating a thread over on the beta forums and provide your example file(s) along with any other applicable detail.
