Imported Styles are gone each start of Designer Persona

Hi.

I am using some STYLES collections in Designer V2 - imported them and they show up each time I start Designer. So far so good.

BUT: When I switch to the Designer Persona in Publisher V2 these styles are not there - just the default style category.

I can import the styles in the Designer Persona in Publisher V2 and use them. But each time I start Publisher V2 and switch to the Designer Personal the styles list is empty but the one default style category and I have to import the styles again..

I think the styles should show up everywhere in the Affinity suite as soon as I imported them and not disappear from one usage of Publisher V2 to the next.

Thanks

Chris

Yes, if you imported a .afstyles file in Designer 2, you should also find it in Photo and in Publisher.

And certainly, if you imported it into Publisher it should be there when you restart Publisher. So something odd is happening. However, I have no idea what, and I haven't seen any other reports of this. I hope  another user or someone from Serif will be able to help.

Thanks for your reply Walt.

I found out - when I switch to the Designer Persona and import one of my afstyles suddenly all of them get imported. So I guess, it's just a little programming bug in this module. And - at least the effort is not that big. Just one import and you have them all back.

Definitely strange, and wrong. I'm sure Serif will want to gather some diagnostic info, unless they already know about this one from internal testing or other reports I haven't seen. With the current level of activity it could be a few days to a week, though, I think.

Hi @nicecap,

Thanks for reporting this.

I can confirm there is an issue here.  On MacOS this works as expected, eg a Style created or imported in Designer does show in Publisher.  However on Windows it doesn't and i'll get this logged.

This is where Designer and Photo act differently to Publisher, Publisher is able to (or should be on Windows) to see the Styles that were imported into Designer and show them by default.  To have a Style you create in Designer (or Photo) show in the Photo you'd have to use the Link option on the burger menu on the Styles Panel of Designer.

Sorry that you have experienced this problem with the Affinity Suite.

We have now released 2.0.4 on all platforms, and using that build we believe this problem no longer occurs.
