Small, circular textframes don't fit text

Recommended Posts

Just from a quick look, it appears that the text frames are too small to add or show any more or new text in them, as indicated by the red eye icons.

These same frames fit the same text in 1.10.5.

Are you sure it was the same font, same point size, & same text frame size in V1?

You have circles that are .2 inches in diameter, and you have 18 pt text you're trying to put in them. 18 pt is about .25 inches (72 pts per inch). How would that text fit in a .2 inch circle?

Apologies, I didn't realize I had resized the style, they should be 12pt. I attach two versions of the same file, one in 1.10.5 and the other in 2.0.0. This should show what I mean.

I'm probably just going to turn these into curves instead of text, but it is a quirky difference between the two programs.

Hi @Publos,

Thanks for your report and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. We are exceptionally busy following the release of V2 and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding here.

I can confirm I'm able to replicate this issue with your file and therefore I'm logging this with our developers now - as if I copy the frame from the V1 file into V2 the text overflows, if I copy the V2 frame into V1, the text does not overflow so this appears to simply be a bug with V2 Shape Text frames.

I hope this helps :)
