Flickering Levels Adjustment option

Hi @HarryMcGovern,

I'm trying this on our iPad Mini 6 here in the office and this is working fine.

I can see you have show touches enabled but can you just confirm when the flickering starts, you don't have your finger (or Apple Pencil) on any part of that dialog?  Could you attach your .afphoto file and i'll try replicating the issue with your file.

Hi, thanks for looking into it.

So I think I found the culprit. The iPad storage was almost full. It was also causing other problems. I’ve dumped about 99% of my iCloud onto Dropbox, removed any apps I haven’t used in a long time and generally did a big cleanup.

Now everything is working as it should. No flickering that I can detect. I don’t know how the Affinity apps relate to storage, but it’s now obvious that anything over ¾ full will start to degrade performance badly.

So in short. I think I’ve solved it.

Thanks.

Great to hear.

However, we had another report of this happening here and i've just been able to replicate it.  You have to hold the iPad at an angle and the whole interface will flicker, this seems to be more sensitive on the iPad Mini 6 but also affects other models of iPad.

Thanks for that info. I’m glad it’s not just me.
I haven’t revisited that issue since, but I’m sure it’s fixable. For now I’ll wait to see what happens. If it repeats I’ll get back.

The issue "[iOS] Adjustment Interface and Image placement menu flicker when iPad is held/Positioned at certain angles" (REF: AF-1306) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.4.0.2279".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
