AgentWayward Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 So, I'm one of the many that won't be buying the upgrade to V2 since I have paid for V1 (all 3 apps and all 3 user guide books) and cannot afford the upgrade. I do not accept the repeated excuse that it's because you cannot track the owners of V1 software. Nonsense. I am in your database, the software keys are registered on my account with you. You email me regularly. Anyway, worse than that, all mention of V1 has vanished from your website. Am I to assume that you are dropping V1 users like a hot stone? Surely there should be a legacy users support section? Luckily I have backups of the install software for my V1 programs. Looks like you've annoyed a lot of V1 customers with the way you've gone about this and your scripted responses to questions about discount pricing. I went from being a huge fan of your software, recommending it frequently to others, to being thoroughy annoyed and let down. Perhaps it's time for a rethink? Quote
MikeTO Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 I'm not with Serif but I think all or most of the v1 information is still there, it's just less prominent as v2 is now front and centre. For example, here are the help pages for v1: https://affinity.help/publisher/English.lproj/index.html https://affinity.help/designer/English.lproj/index.html https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/index.html And here are some of the v1 discussion forums: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/123-feedback-for-the-affinity-v1-products-archive/ https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/120-report-a-bug-in-affinity-version-1-applications/ jmwellborn 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.5, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)

From the forums, though, yes. E.g., from https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/9-tutorials-serif-and-customer-created-tutorials/ you can scan down the topics and find V1 tutorials, or look at the V2 tutorials topics which have a link. Thus, at the bottom of https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/170269-official-affinity-photo-v2-tutorials/ there are links to the V1 tutorial topics.
