goblynn93 Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Hello. How do I Arrange - Distribute Evenly with Photo? The options seem to be missing... Every google search is showing to use a button on the toolbar that isn't there and the Arrange menu (where it should be) doesn't have any options. I find lots of info on how to do this with Designer but I am not using Designer - I am using Photo. Thanks! Quote
goblynn93 Posted October 28, 2022 Author Posted October 28, 2022 Ok - I found Space Horizontal and Space Vertical buttons in the Customize Toolbar options... so now I am wondering #1 why is this hidden? and #2 how do I do this via menus without needing to add hidden buttons to the Toolbar? Quote
Dan C Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Hi goblynn93, If you cannot see your Allignment icon on your toolbar, you can right click the bar, hit Customise Toolbar... then drag the icon highlighted below onto the bar for future use. Lee Quote

As far as I know, you can't do it via the menu. You need to add the tool to the Toolbar. As for why this is "hidden", presumably because the developers didn't think this was a Toolbar function that most users of Photo would need to have, by default. So they made it hidden, but available via customization for any who do need it. I can see not including it on the Toolbar for the reasons you state but to have the function not available via the Arrange menu is a very strange decision. Quote

Lee I found the Alignment icon(S) in the Customize Toolbar. No slick single button like Designer. Kind of obnoxious I have to add separate buttons for Horizontal and Vertical but at least they are there. The lack of this function in the menus is very confusing. Not putting it on the Toolbar makes sense. Not putting it in the menu makes Photo feel incapable. Quote

The toolbar will be greyed out if you don’t have a document open, but it shouldn’t remain that way when you choose the ‘Customize Toolbar…’ option. Which Affinity app(s) do you have, and which version(s)?
