Zackariasa
Hi, I just changed the device, how can I move the studio presets that I made in Affinity designer software on my old laptop and move the studio presets to Affinity designer installed on my new laptop? Dan C
Hi @Zackariasa, I'd recommend the following: On your old laptop, please open Windows Run (Windows Key + R) then paste the following string and press OK: %APPDATA%\Affinity\Designer\1.0\ In the window that opens, select all of the files/folders and copy these to a device for transferring to your new laptop, such as a USB drive. Now, on the new laptop, return to the same location as above and then paste your copied files here, replacing the existing files. You should now find that all of your saved settings, presets etc are available on your new laptop. I hope this helps!

Renx-78
In my case in the latest app versions the 1.10.5.1342 from the Microsoft Store on Windows 11, the path is as follows: C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Local\Packages\SerifEuropeLtd.AffinityPhoto_844sdzfcmm7k0\LocalCache\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Store)\Workspaces\Custom\ For the other apps, in the path only change the long name folder that will contain Designer and Publischer in the name (and of course the folders with just the app name). The folders that appear immediately indicate the various workspaces/person.

This is the same on both Windows 10 & 11. Looking around, it looks like data can be copied to this "virtualized directory" %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\........\LocalCache\Roaming\ if the app is unable to access %APPDATA%. Are you able to access %APPDATA% and do you have an Affinity folder?
Renx-78
In %APPDATA% I have no Affinity folder. In fact with the suggestions above it didn't find anything, so I did a search in the file manager with the name of the set of studio settings I had saved and found it in that path. If you run the app as an Administrator, does the folder then get generated in %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Store)?

Staff Leigh Posted October 18, 2022 Staff Share Posted October 18, 2022 Just wanted to give you an update @Renx-78. I've spoken to our QA team it appears that they have recently found out that if you don't have an Affinity folder in %APPDATA% before installing the MS Store version, it will use %LOCALAPPDATA%. However, if you had an Affinity folder in %APPDATA% before installing the MS Store version then it would use that instead. I will update the following FAQ to reflect this information:
