Tom de Meijer
A file of > 5 GB suddenly refuses to open, while it worked fine so far. I get the message "This file type is not supported". The file represents weeks of work... Is someone capable and willing to correct this file? carl123
Try uploading it to a dropbox link (or server) somewhere and someone here may be able to download it and take a look for you It's too large to upload to the forum Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Can be worth a trial: Create a New document with same size & colourspace –> menu "Document" –> "Add Pages from File…" –> select the document which refuses to open. thomaso
@LeeThorpe, just for the record: Two situations within ~5 min. that triggered the error "This file type is not supported" for a linked JPG erroneously: At the moment I edited a .jpg outside of Affinity which was linked in an open .afpub. When I saved the JPG in the other app the Affinity standard notification about the modified resource appeared AND the error window "This file type is not supported". Then I renamed that .jpg and copied its previous version from the TimeMachine backup into this folder. The same 2 messages appeared. I closed the error window, checked the Resource Manager and it says OK. – I wonder if Affinity is simply to fast or impatient with such decisions, as if it complains as soon it notices any change while the other app is just still overwriting one of APub's linked images.
