Giggly
Can designer, publisher or photo be used to create a map with hot spots that display info?
GarryP
If you can explain more about what “map”, “hot spots” and “display info” mean then you should get some good answers. Visual examples are usually good ways of showing us what you want. The more detail you can give the better we can help you.
Giggly
We are looking to create a map of a county that contains several towns and cities. We want to display information about the town or city when a user hovers their mouse over the town or city.
iconoclast
I don't think that any of the Affinity apps can do this. Usually such things are done using Html, CSS (for the Design) and Javascript (for more sophisticated interactivity). Or with Web Editors like Dream Weaver, as far as I know. GarryP
Is the county a real country or something that is imaginary? What sort of information do you want to display and in what form? How will the map be available to people to use? Under which circumstances will the map be used? As iconoclast said above, there is no interactivity functionality in the exported files of any Affinity applications, but you might be able to use the output from an Affinity application to feed into another process. Staff DWright Posted August 9, 2022 Staff Share Posted August 9, 2022 As @iconoclastmentioned the Affinity apps will not be able to create a document capable on this type of interaction as they do not generate HTML coding that would be required and you will need a web editor to do this
