How to move a table cell separator in Affinity Publisher?

I want to move the red separator to the right without the green separator moving with it

You need to separate the cells in the second row and move stuff into cell D.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Do you work with a spreadsheet such as Excel? Here, too, you cannot change the width of individual cells, but always of entire columns (just as you cannot change the height of individual cells, but only of entire rows).

Bruce described the solution.

See my attached video.

The tables in Publisher are not ‘free-form’ but, instead, are ‘bound’ to the underlying cells.
This means that you cannot move the separator, individually, without also affecting other cells which share that separator.

If you want a ‘free-form’ table then you will need to create one manually from multiple separate tables, each with spacings as you need them to be.

I feel like the OP doesn't read or somehow doesn't understand the responses because it's been brought up here twice already.

yes, but the How-To was missing 🤔 … respectively the commands or buttons to merge / separate cells.

Yes, but if the "how" was a problem, then it could be asked.
But in the OP's responses, the problem with the separator moving is constantly repeated, and the proposed solution is not reflected in any way.
