William Overington Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 Could someone remind me how to set the author field when outputting a PDF document from Affinity Publisher please? I know it can be done, but I can't remember how, and I have not been able to find it today. William Quote Until December 2022, using a Lenovo laptop running Windows 10 in England. Staff NathanC Posted June 15, 2022 Staff Posted June 15, 2022 Hi @William Overington, You can set the document author under View > Studio > Fields in the Document information section. You can double click the field to rename the author and this should then be reflected in the exported PDF's document properties. William Overington 1 Quote

William Overington Posted June 20, 2022 Author Posted June 20, 2022 I asked this question about Affinity Publisher, and the answer worked fine. Yet, just now, I tried to add my name as the author of a PDF document to export from Affinity Designer, but Affinity Designer does not have that facikity. How strange! William Overington Posted June 20, 2022 Author Posted June 20, 2022 I just tried making a copy of my Affinity Designer file (in case my experiment went wrong, I would still have the original) and then edited it in Affinity Publisher via the File menu in Affinity Designer, added my name as author, and then exported as a PDF document. It seems to have worked alright, but whether that is because I think that I could have probalby produced the original in Affinity Publisher, (I had used shapes using the Pen Tool and text frames) or whether it would have worked had I used in Affinity Designer a tool not found in Affinity Publisher, (such as the Pencil Tool), I do not know. William Overington Posted June 20, 2022 Author Posted June 20, 2022 It is not in the version running on my computer. But I have not updated, so maybe added in into a later version.
