EduardoP
Hi, I am trying to import a DNG file from my Ricoh GRIII into APhoto shot with a 1.1 aspect ratio, but the resulted image comes totally different from the original (camera screen preview) and also with Irfanview 64 thumbnails preview. I tried with Luminar 4 and it imports exactly as the original image. Are there any configuration settings that I have to change in APhoto in order to bypass this issue? Thanks in advance. EduardoP
The Ricoh Gr III has a 28mm fixed lens and yes it is on the list of support camera profiles. selenita

The raw file will be the same as the sensor size (more or less). You'll have to use the Crop Tool or trim the image yourself in the Affinity Software. selenita 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear. v_kyr
It's just a crop func aspect based ratio size (how should they technically otherwise do that), the initial RAW remains 3:2. - See also related these dpreview threads ... 1:1 Aspect Ratio GRiii (lose quality?) 4:3 3:2 1:1 Aspect Ratio? Irfanview 64 thumbnails probably show the already cropped JPG representation implied. And Luminar probably is interpreting the Ricoh Exif MakerNotes more correctly from the DNG file here and so performs/shows up the setup 1:1 crop aspect ratio then. EduardoP
Thank you both for the explanation. I'll keep the 1.1 aspect ratio just for visualization while shooting, and crop then later on as I edit the images. Kind regards. E.
