bourdian Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Hello, is there a plan to support the HDR Photomatix software as well as Perfect Clear plugin? Best regards Quote
JFisher Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Hi bourdian, Welcome to the forums! :) It is possible for you to install some plugins at the moment, such as the NIK collection and Topaz but plugin support is still on going and you can expect improvements in the future. In some cases, the plugins developers will need to add some input for it to work smoothly. Have you attempted to install HDR Photomatix and Perfect Clear plugins at all? J Quote

dlwimages Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I have the Nik Collection in a Photoshop Plugins folder, but can't figure how to get the collection into AP 1.4. Any help would be appreciated! David Quote
Staff MEB Posted December 18, 2015 Staff Posted December 18, 2015 Hi David, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Go to menu Affinity Photo ▸ Preferences..., Photoshop Plug-ins section then in the Plug-in Search Folders on the right, click Add and browse to the Photoshop Plug-ins folder. In the Plug-In Support Folders below click the Authorise Global button, then click Authorise again in the dialog that will appear. Finally check Allow "Unknown" plugins to be used. We must then restart Affinity Photo. Note that not all plug-ins may work correctly. Photoshop plug-in support is still being worked/developed. Screenshot attached. Asha Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 After copying plugins to the AP folder and authorizing them as described by MEB, none of my plugins work with AP: DxO--selecting Film Pack crashed AP ("unexpectedly quit") Nik--was able to select the filters, but the preview was not visible and none of the buttons worked ON1--not recognized by AP I'm running OS El Capitan on an iMac 5k and AP 1.4. ETA: I was able to get the Nik Efex to work, somewhat, but On1 and DxO still won't play nice. Quote
toyotadesigner Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Hi MEB, I've added the PTLens plug-in as you have illustrated, but it doesn't work at all. I could run PTLens in PS (which I have abandoned long time ago) and PhotoLine (16bit image editor). PTLens shows up in the plugin folder with the status 'unknown'. Do you have any trick to turn it useable in AP? Quote hobbyists discuss new camera features photographers discuss new software masters discuss light
edwardsson Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Nik Collection worked great in AP 1.3.x, but in AP 1.4 I can launch them but not use them. Seems to have the same problem as Asha mentions earlier in this thread. Not even the Analog Efex Pro 2 or Color Efex Pro 4 works, even if they are shown as »Working».
