Albo
Well I have another problem...UPDATE: Now it works...Mystery. RE-UPDATE: And now it doesn't work..... When I select a region inside an inage it won't erase when I use the delete key. It erases the whole image. Using Mac Catalina latest. walt.farrell
Check the Layers panel and make sure you have a (Pixel) layer, not an (Image) layer. For Image, you need to rasterize the layer to work with its pixels. Dragging an image file into an existing document, or using Paste, or File > Place, will give an Image layer. Albo
I found a workaround but that was probably the reason. I remember this now. With a lot of layers some seem to escape my eye. Thanks. Quote iMac mid-2017 3,6 Ghz / 32G

Komatös
Hi @call me warthog and welcome to the forums. First of all, a tip: If you want to make additions or changes to one of your postings, click with the left mouse button on the icon with the three dots and select the edit function. As for the white areas after deleting from a selection, check under the Document menu whether the Transparent background option is checked. You haven’t said which app you’re using, but it sounds as though you’re working on a document that doesn’t have a transparent background. If that’s the case, it’s to be expected that deletion will leave a white area instead of a transparency checkerboard. I see that @Komatös posted about this while I was typing: 8 minutes ago, Komatös said: As for the white areas after deleting from a selection, check under the Document menu whether the Transparent background option is checked. You’ve posted to a thread in the Pre-V2 Archive section of the forums. Perhaps a moderator will split off your posts and our replies into their own thread.
