angeleasel
hi I have this issue where when I copy/paste text I get this unwanted white text frame and I don't know how to get rid of it
Alfred
Where are you copying from, and which Affinity app are you pasting to? In Affinity Publisher there’s a control for the background colour of a text frame, but in the other apps you’ll need to copy a correctly formatted piece of text and then use ‘Paste Style’ to apply that format to the text which has an unwanted background colour. angeleasel
I'm copying from a google forms document. I'm actually using Affinity Publisher to do this project. I tried copy/pasting character styles it changes the text but the white block is still behind it.
Alfred
Looking more closely at your screenshot, I notice that the text is taller than the rectangle. Check the Layers panel to see if there’s a separate object that you can delete. Wosven
It looks like a decoration, backgroung for text or big underline. You should also check the character panel, or simply try to paste without format.
angeleasel
How do you paste without the format? I'm trying to copy/paste from google forums
Wosven
It's an option in the Edition menu, with copy, paste, etc. For your problem:

This inserts only the text, not its format.
