filoplume
Hi, If I select some text in a text frame, can I do either to it? Put some color behind it? Besides changing the text color. If I wanted to emphasize a block of text in a text frame (but not all), how would I do that? Thanks, -fp PaoloT
R C-R
One way to put color behind text is to select it, open the Character panel, & set the Background Color for it. It is the second of the two square boxes at the end of the second row of items in that panel. That's what I did in this simple BG color in text.afpub file. filoplume
That looks great! Thanks! I missed the background color when looking at the panel.
thomaso
Another option is in Paragraph Panel > Decoration > Fill. If "Combine identical" s selected the fill affects empty lines between paragraphs, too. That will work if the intent is to give all of the paragraph a background color, but not if it is to only do that for certain words, phrases, or letters. For that, the Character panel Background Color is a good choice. filoplume
Thank you. That is more of what I would like to do. Highlight a sentence(s) and particular words.
