BettyLou
I can't work out what the problem is here! The bottom row of my table keeps increasing in height by itself. I try to change the cell height and it doesn't allow me to change it. This is not a problem that's just happening in this one table. It's happened before and I have managed to work around it! But in this case I really need to find out how to fix it. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or is this a bug in the program? walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @BettyLou. It would help to have more context for the problem, including (at least) a screenshot that shows that row of the table, and the Layers panel (with that row visible). Even better would be a sample document, perhaps (depending on the document size or confidentiality) that same document with other parts deleted, but the table included. sfriedberg
I don't know about this problem specifically, but tables in AffPub have an awful lot of "weird" behavior regarding column and row sizing and text wrapping and/or insets within cells, and it does often take the form of "inexplicable widths/heights" which cannot be quickly fixed by straightforward user GUI interaction. I have had to give more than one table the "burn it with fire" treatment to reset its layout, and on a couple of occasions I have had to abandon the corrupted table and simply construct a new one. It would not surprise me if this is indeed a bug in table behavior. If we can see a copy of the affected document (the document itself, not a screenshot of the document, please), we might be able to assist more specifically. BettyLou
It's tricky to screenshot! I decided to start over with the tables and the new tables that I've created don't have the problem that I've described.

If you can give us a sample document from the version that has the problem we may be able to tell you what you did in that one (Just the page with the table on it would probably be enough. You could save a copy of the document, and in the copy delete everything else.) Staff MEB Posted February 7, 2022 Staff Share Posted February 7, 2022 Hi @BettyLou Welcome to Affinity Forums This is a know issue that's already logged but for which we haven't found a way to replicate. Do you have any idea of what you may have made that may have broken the table from a certain point on?
