BHL Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 I have been user of Serif Products particularly Page Plus in its various versions. PP had a very useful mail merge facility which I used to print, personalise and address letters. Originally it could take data directly from an Excel file but sadly lost that capability. I can find nothing like this in Affinity Publisher. Can anyone help please? Quote
GarryP Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 Welcome to the forums @BHL You have posted this in one of the iPad sections of the forums but Publisher isn’t yet available on the iPad.One of the moderators will probably move this thread to a more appropriate place for you. Quote
PaulEC Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 Affinity Publisher has a Mail Merge function, but it is slightly different to how it worked in PagePlus. You should be able to find further information in the Help file. However, you cannot create and send automated email newsletters with it. Am I wrong? Ok, lost in translation. You are right, and I am a little bit too. With data merge there is a way to do all the things, the OP wish. You're quite right, in PagePlus it was called Mail Merge and in APub it's Data Merge, but, essentially, you can do the same sort of things in both. 2 hours ago, Komatös said: you cannot create and send automated email newsletters with it. I don't think you can send automated emails, but that isn't what the OP asked about and, as far as I remember, that wasn't possible in PagePlus either. I could be wrong, but I think that had something to do with whether you were using the 32 bit or 64 bit version of PagePlus. (You could, of course, export an Excel file as CSV and use that instead.) No, you’re not wrong. The 32-bit version includes options which are unavailable in the 64-bit version.
