Phil Spencer Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 I have just added extra storage to my laptop and refreshed Windows 10 at the same time, I reinstalled Affinity photo on the new SSD (D drive) and I cannot register it it keeps timing out. I decided to reload Affinity Photo onto the D drive to free up space on my C drive. See the screenshot attached, how can I register Affinity Photo on my laptop Registration report.docx Quote
Staff stokerg Posted January 21, 2022 Staff Posted January 21, 2022 Hi @Phil Spencer, This is a known issue as outlined here. If you can close Affinity and then right click on the shortcut and select Run As Administrator, you should then be able to register Quote

For future reference, it’s best to attach screenshots as PNG or JPEG images so that they can be viewed directly in the browser. Komatös Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 And the best thing is that you can easily take a screenshot with Windows own tools. Press the Print key once to capture the entire screen or press Windows key + Shift key + S. There are then three further options (rectangle, free-form and window). If you then have a new post page open, you can insert the previously taken screenshot by pressing CTRL + V. Phil Spencer Posted January 21, 2022 Author Posted January 21, 2022 Hi Stokerg Thanks for the advice, I tried as you suggested, and it still would not let me register. I suspect that it is sitting on a different drive as the operating system (Windows 10) it may be a big part of the problem I have Adobe Elements set up on the same drive and keep getting crash reports, So, I think I will uninstall and reinstall onto the same drive as the operating system. Affinity opens and works, it just won't let me register the way I have it set up. Won't read the plugins like NIK or Topaz either, so I will move them all across and see what happens. Quote
