Komatös
No, you get only a key if you purchase at the Serif Affinity Store. PaoloT
I suspect Serif would make more money if customers purchase directly from their store. I have one of the apps purchased via the Apple Store, but will buy the next version directly from Serif, like the other two. Paolo

The benefit to Serif of selling in the Apple & MS stores is exposure to more potential customers, so they probably have decided they would rather have a smaller slice of a much bigger pie than all of the much smaller 'pie' in their store. 😁 Of course, that does not apply to users who already know about the apps & that they can buy directly from Serif. Along with problems with sandboxing (plugins), delayed updates, the impossibility of downdate in case of problems, it is always "reasonable" to buy from the manufacturer and fairly reward its developers. It is possible to do this if you have a good backup scheme in place, like for Macs using Time Machine. But it is still better to buy directly from Serif unless maybe one values the simplicity of "one stop shopping" (& possibly automatic updates) more than the slight extra hassle of going to the maker's store.
