Seth Hendrick Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 I recently finished a project and sent it into the develop persona to finish it. I applied my adjustments and exported it. I realized I forgot to include something in my image, but if I want to add it, I must use the pre-developed image to add the new part in, then re-develop it. Is there any way to save a preset of the adjustments that I make? I see that there are for tone map, so I am confused that there aren’t preset options for develop. Quote

Seth Hendrick Posted November 24, 2021 Author Posted November 24, 2021 Do you have any suggestions, then? Will I just have have to redevelop it by memorization each time? Quote
NotMyFault Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 I would advise to limit the editing in Develop Persona to the absolute minimum: initial exposure compensation to avoid anything cut-off from histogram initial shadow/highlight correction (if required) to avoid anything cut-off from histogram lens correction (on, should compensate barrel distortion only) CA correction (on, automatic / no parameter) Then click apply and do everything else in Photo Persona, including white balance, curves, sharpening, cropping etc. Write down the settings used (e.g. add a text layer outside the visible canvas, e=+0.5, s=+25,h=0) Photo Persona allows to create presets Photo Persona allows to create LUTs (which aggregate lots of adjustments) This method will reduce the effort in case you need to start fresh in develop persona. All your (live / non-destructive) edits in Photo Persona could be reused. The limit comes if you use e.g. masks or paint in pixel layers, and they don't match any more in case of changed RAW image. In addition to the techniques offered above, you could apply your adjustment/live filter layer, etc and export as a template. Open template and insert image when required. What were you doing to "finish" your project in the more limited Develop Persona that you couldn't have done in the Photo Persona? Seth Hendrick Posted November 25, 2021 Author Posted November 25, 2021 I need to go back and edit a few parts of the image because I forgot. I still want to “finish” with the develop persona, its just that I needed to go back and make some fixes. —Also, I tried to add the adjustments to my project in the photo persona and scrolled each one to the same % as in the develop persona, but it had a different effect. Ideas? Quote
