MEMO
I found Rory Mole showing how to do a book template or book layout in Affinity Publisher. I think it is worth to watch. It is very helpful :-) MOD EDIT - additional questions split to this thread - nautiloda
David Whatmuff
Hi Rory, I’m a complete newbie on Affinity publisher, and planning to create a book on My Life for my family. I have a number of Word documents I’ve created over the last 20 years or so, in all kinds of styles and fonts. Just watched your 3-part tutorial on laying out a book, and loved it, thank you! First thing I need to do is to get all my originals to use the same styles and fonts, so I have a bunch of work facing me there! My book will consist of about 2O chapters in about 5 or 6 parts and your example doesn’t cover how to handle that. You also don’t insert any images, but I’m sure I can find out how to do that in the general Affinity tutorials. Thank you once again for your efforts to help newbies like me … much appreciated! Best regards, Dave Whatmuff

Best regards, Dave Whatmuff One thing I found handy was Affinity Publisher ability to paste without format. In other words, set up your book in the style you want and when you are copying the data from other locations just paste it in without format. I don't recall what the default short cut is but I changed mine to Alt + V. It works great. You can change the shortcut key in preferences if you want. StudioJason
Unless you are on iPad Pro version of Publisher, and the App continually crashes while doing basic Editing, and the Devs haven’t updated in almost a year to fix it. But good Tutorial overall.
