tonyt
Hi I have installed the new NIK4 collection trial. I have set them up as per attached. However, when I go to plugins in the APhoto drop down when an image is loaded, nothing shows up. Can anyone help pleas asap! Cheers
John Rostron
@tonyt Are your Nik plugin files in the folder Applications\Nik Collection, or are they in sub-folders? If so, you need to Add the sub-folders to your Search Folders list. John Quote Windows 10, Affinity Photo 1.10.5 Designer 1.10.5 and Publisher 1.10.5 (mainly Photo), now ex-Adobe CC CPU: AMD A6-3670. tonyt
Hi John I used the standard DXO installer which created the Nik Collection folder. Inside that are the plugins which launch if I double click one of them, so no sub folders! Do hope you have some other ideas as this is driving me nuts! It does not show any Nik plugins there -- they would have icons that sort of look like lego bricks like this: and the *.plugin extension. If you follow the installation instructions in the link @j3rry posted above to add a "Compatible Host" custom plugins folder, you should be able to use the plugins. j3rry 1 Quote All 3 1.10.6, & all 3 V21.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.6; Affinity Designer 1.10.6; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
