BeauRX Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Given that Retail-Photos and Beta-Photos each have their own [shortcuts.affshorcuts] files I’m hoping someone can tell me what the Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts > Photo > [Affinity Photo Beta] option does without having to run tests? Quote
Old Bruce Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Not sure I understand what it is you are asking. To the best of my knowledge there are no real differences between the Beta and the Retail as far as available shortcuts. So if you have set some up for the Retail just export the keyboard shortcuts to the desktop and then import them in the beta. The short cuts are just for menu items so Photo means the Photo persona and [Affinity Photo Beta] means the menu named Affinity Photo Beta. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

BeauRX Posted June 5, 2021 Author Posted June 5, 2021 Old Bruce is correct it's just for top level app items, which in this case is Affinity Photo Beta. In my stupor I interpreted it as separate settings for the beta. It's obvious now after a break. thanks anyway walt.farrell 1 Quote

If I understand what you are asking correctly, it is exactly the same as the retail version equivalent. It is just a way to display the keyboard shortcuts in effect or settable for the items on the Affinity Photo or the Affinity Photo Beta menu when the app is in the Photo persona. IOW, it does not do anything other than filter the list.
