Welcome to the forums @Bill_C

None of the Affinity applications have support for video file formats and I doubt they will for quite some time, if ever.
Serif no longer comment on their future plans and we users don’t normally get to know what’s coming up until beta versions of the software are released.
Having said that, other forums users might have had similar requirements and may share their workflows with you.

As @GarryP says, there is currently no facility to use any video files in APh, and possibly never will be, but I am quite intrigued by what you would hope to be able to "do" with an .AVI in the app?

Hello folks,

I am new to this serious hobby and have bought an inexpensive "electronic eyepiece" SV105 model. It is a CMOS and records video in AVI. It seems that i cannot use Aph for stacking such files.

Would anyone have a recommendation for a Mac user.

Thanks for any advice,

Irving

Will it not take individual images (jpg, png, bmp, etc.)?

If it is only taking video, your resolution will most likely be very limited and this will affect any images you use.

Corel has a video editor which will allow you to export individual images from video. You might consider it if all you get are avi files.
